The British press is carrying many a tribute this morning to DJ Jimmy Savile, who has passed away at the age of 84. Responsible for introducing many a Eurovision hit on Top of the Pops in the 1970s, his strongest link with the Contest was when he hosted the UK's national final in 1974, where Olivia Newton John sang all the shortlisted songs for the British public's delectation.
