Eurovision 2010: On me 'ead, mon ami

By Jamie McLoughlin on Mar 19, 10 12:10 PM

jessy_matador.jpg A snippet of the footie-themed French entry Allez Ola, performed by Jessy Matador, was released on this website a few hours ago. This now means that, barring the new Ukrainian entry and any revamped songs coming our way (in particular, the Contest version of the UK song), we now know all the songs in the line-up for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. And although the French song has apparently been added to the mix as a surefire attempt not to win the Contest, there's still enough going on in Jessy's song to woo a floating voter, not to mention that it also sounds completely different to anything else selected so far.

Whether it's enough to break France's 33-year Eurovision hoo-doo remains to be seen.

Right, now that national final season is over, there is still 10 weeks to go until Eurovision begins in Oslo. Don't worry, as Boom Bang a Blog has plans to plug the gap. Once the draw is complete next week, you'll be able to vote for your favourites from this year, plus I'll be making a concerted effort to complete the remaining nine Bluffer's Guides on my to-do pile before Te Deum strikes up on May 27.

It's all getting rather interesting now...
