A Great Blog Thank You from Boom Bang a Blog
You may have noticed from the bits which make up the right hand side of the screen that Boom Bang Blog is part of Trinity Mirror Merseyside newspapers. That's the Liverpool Echo, the Southport Visiter, the Daily Post, the Crosby Herald, the Formby Times, etc. It's all on the list over there ->
Well, this blog is just one of about 40 that the staff are encouraged to nurture and cultivate, based on our specific interests (you'll never guess, but I quite like Eurovision). For the past three weeks, the blogs have been looked at, their hit counters examined, the content cogitated and verified and this afternoon a wee presentation took place in our Liverpool city centre office when the blogs deemed to be the best were announced.
The worthy winner of a case of rather poshe wine was ever-trekking Welshman Richard Down and his Ain't No Mountain High Enough blog, but I'm chuffed to report that Boom Bang a Blog was announced as joint runner-up with David Bartlett's Dale Street Blues. David and I got to pinch a bottle of wine each from the case before the winner was announced.
That wouldn't have been possible without all the regular Boom Bang a Bloggers popping in to have a shufty at all the nonsense I churn out, so a big thank you to you, to guest bloggers Ewan Spence and Peter Walsh, and to Uncle Tom Cobley and all.

Its a long time since the UK came second in anything Eurovision related, so well done! Who would have known that there were that many sad old anoraks out there!
