Eurovision 2010 starts with a Manboy, Underbart, some Road Salt and an Idiot

A webcast was broadcast earlier today where 27 songs which entered the Swedish heats the traditional way (ie. popped in the post to the panel) and have made it through to the four televised heats in the new year were announced.

Joining them at some point will be four wildcards from specifically invited composer/act combinations and - making up the 32 - a joker entry spawning from MySpace.

But we know what you want. Here are the titles of the one score and seven ditties - one of which could very well be flying the Swedish flag in Oslo next May. Can't wait to hear what Manboy is all about...

No performers are ever mentioned at this stage, although the familiar-sounding title of We can Work It Out has Andreas Johnson listed as a co-composer. Andreas, better known to UK pop pickers as the performer of Glorious 10 years ago, is something of a Melodifestivalen veteran.

He finished third in 2006 with the rather superb Sing For Me (which could have won in Athens), then second in the 2007 Swedish heats with A Little Bit of Love. He never made it out of the qualifiers in 2008 in a duet with former Swedish winner Carola - but, if he is the performer, could he work his way out of Melodifestivalen and on to Oslo in his third crack at the trophy as a solo artiste?

The first notes will be sung in about four months.
