Would our friends from Sweden please take the floor?
It's usually the case that former Pop Idol contestants go for a second nibble at fame's cherry via the Song Contest, not the Dance one. But Sweden's Danny Saucedo is relying on his toes and not his vocal chords in an attempt to scoop a trophy for his homeland.
He is joined by professional dancer Jeanette Carlsson (not Krankie, despite the Contest taking place in Scotland) in an attempt to light up the scoreboard for Sweden on Saturday night.
Danny has had a number one hit in his homeland - on the back of his Idol appearance - and has also been successful in Poland and Russia - nations which are both entering the Dance Contest. Is this a canny ploy by the Swedes?
Before the Eurovision event, Danny was also a contestant in Sweden's Let's Dance show, which threw him spinning and Paso Doble-ing in to the path of...
Jeanette. The brunette bombshell was Sweden's Latin dance champion in 2005 and is also a dance teacher when not competing in various competitions.
Of course, if Swedish telly was even cannier, they could get the pair to shake their booties to this and the result would be a foregone conclusion.
