Here's What We Could Have Won
Remember the (rather mild) kerfuffle about 18 months ago when it was rumoured Morrissey was seriously considering representing the UK at Eurovision?
Well, if the Mozz had had his own way (apparently, he didn't want to go through the British heat against a load of unknowns and wanted a direct shoe-in to Helsinki) this is the song which would have represented Royaume Uni at Eurovision 2007.
It's called I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris and here is the man himself performing it live in October last year.
What do you think? Better than Scooch?

The blond guy from Scooch is now doing an end of the pier show in Bournemouth with Nathan from Brother Beyond....
I'm loving the song ... just not sure how it would have gone down with our Eastern European brethren.
What do you think Mr Mc? Could Mozza have been a winner?
Are good songs allowed in Eurovision?
It's a good song - and Morrisseey's almost universal popularity would have earned him some good scores across the board - but perhaps not enough to win.
As for good songs at Eurovision, there are plenty, but they tend not to be 'instant' enough to win first place.
That sounds like a Boom Bang a Blog entry all of its own...
